Our Story

Ames Bouquets is comprised of a mother-daughter duo, Terri & Rebecca. We receive a lot of support from family and friends behind the scenes. We grow our flowers in our own home gardens.

Terri has been an Ames resident for 25+ years. She is an Iowa State University alumnus who is now enjoying the retirement years. Besides gardening, you may find her out riding her bike around town, visiting Reiman Gardens, or meeting another retiree friend for lunch.

Rebecca is an Iowa native and grew up in central Iowa. At the end of college at Iowa State University, she went out to Washington state for an internship. She ended up staying in the Pacific Northwest for several years.

While living close to Skagit Valley and visiting the daffodil and tulip fields, she also started following a little known local flower farmer (at the time) named, Floret. Soon she started noticing more and more flower farmers popping up, especially dahlia growers. She later brought her flower enthusiasm along with her family back to Ames, Iowa and Ames Bouquets began to take root!
